JUNIOR SQUADS
60-120 MINS
All squad classes last for 60 mins minimum depending on the age groups and content of the class
VARIOUS AGE GROUPS
My squad program covers players from 8&U up to 15&U and teaches specific content for each age group
LINKED TO COMPETITIONS
All players in the squads are invited to train based on their desire to compete in tennis competitions during the year
Plan your competitive pathway
Squad programs are designed to set goals for young players and get them enjoying competitive tennis and improving their understanding and ability to play tennis matches
MORE INFORMATION
Tennis is a game of problem solving. We must teach our players how to enjoy the challenge of competing and enjoy working out the right solutions to win tennis matches.
Weekly Lessons
Each squad meets up at least once per week. The content of each class is aimed heavily at playing points, understanding key strategic plans and learning to read the game.
Team Environment
Squads are about training as part of a team. Our groups are carefully planned to make sure that the dynamic and level of each group creates a great training environment
Matches & Events
I aim to take players on trips to relevant events and for matches against other players or clubs. This includes trips to play overseas.
Developing Habits
My squad sessions are harder both physically and mentally on players. But we aim to create the right attitudes and habits to cope with playing competitive tennis
Excellent Support Team
The squad program is supported by specific coaches in Strength and Conditioning and other key areas of the game including mental skills coaches as well
Parental Support
Parental decision making can be tough with sporty kids! The squad program aims to offer advice and support to parents as well as players
Squad Age Groups
There are 3 different age groups that we focus on for squad training:
- 11&U:
Orange & Green Ball Tennis Players (Year 5&6 at school)
- 14&U:
Yellow Ball Tennis Players
(Year 7&8 at school)
- 16&U:
Yellow Ball Tennis Players
(Year 9&10 at school)
Players may be asked to play at a higher squad level if that is more suitable for their development.
